  3. Homepage Slideshow back to top

The Slideshow on the Homepage can be enabled and set up from the Appearance > Customize page, the Homepage tab. Select a static page that has images attached(uploaded) to it, and the theme will display them on the homepage.

Important to note: Make sure that on the Settings > Reading page your homepage is set to display “Your Latest Posts”.

  4. Thumbnails Size back to top

Our themes use the native WordPress image uploader combined with a couple of custom images sizes, as defined in functions.php. Here is a list of custom sizes used by the theme:

    1. 1080×450 – used for the slideshow on the homepage and single post/page pages.
    2. 340×220 – used for the 3 featured pages on the homepage.
    3. 200×200 – used on all archive pages.

  5. Menu Configuration back to top

Our themes fully support WordPress Custom Menus. If you are not familiar yet with this WordPress feature, please check the official WordPress Menu User Guide, which contains very detailed information about this feature.

  6. Custom Page Templates back to top

    HermesThemes Page Templates

All of our themes come with built-in custom page templates, each for different purposes. All of these templates can be used for multiple pages, so you don’t have to limit yourself to a single page of a given template.

Reception Theme currently includes these custom page templates:

    • Blog Archives – displays posts from all categories on one page
    • Parent Page – displays child pages as a list (show your rooms, attractions, facilities, etc.)

  7. Theme Support back to top

As Reception is a free WordPress theme we will not be able to provide support in a timely manner.
